I've got 2 12" JLA w3's and I love them. I can't even push the system (well, I can.. but choose not to) over 20 vol on the deck. The system kicks at vol 15 with some SUPER BASS and is crisp and clear.

They did a str8 swap for the PPI amp????

No way.

The only amp I will use other than mine is a PPI cuz they are hard as nails. I hope he got a powerclass!
No, they gave him a Prestige amp for his PPI. He ended up PAYING them for the Prestige amp.
You have a Zapco amp right?

OUCH

Now I know what u mean by he got screwed. No way I'd trade the smallest PPI amo for a Prestige and they are made by Audiovox.

If I were him Id be hella pissed. The price that he paid ontop of the trade probably covered the cost of the prestige amp. So they prolly didn't make a profit but they took his amp and ripped you guys off.

I do have an amp and Its a Zapco AG650 and I would not trade it for anything besides a PPI Pc/Pro 650

I previously had a kenwood sub in my car and was debating wether or not to replace it with a Rockford HE. Well I went down to a local store that sells JL's because a friend of mine recommended JL's and I know they are top of the line. I bought myself one 12W3 and installed it and....oh my. these subs are LOUD AS HELL. They hit so hard and so clear. I have the bass control on my stock deck turned up to the middle, and my amp is set to around 60%, and when the volume control is around 70% I feel like my trunk is going to break apart. I dont even want to turn it up louder because my ears begin to hurt. I fell in love with JL. It was such a change from the kenwood sub (700w max, 150 rms), and kenwood seemed 10x worse. If you want quality, hard ass hitting bass, then go with these. You will NOT be dissappointed.
