Re: Chevy 350 or Pontiac 400

Right now the 400 has 7j2's. Would the 70 GTO heads add more than 20 horses?

Ive had the 7j2's surfaced twice wich helped the compression but how much more will the judge heads flow. Arent the 6X's and the 7J2's both 2.11-1.77's?

The 6X Judge heads need reworked but all the valves look good and seal up. Is 300 a fair deal if all i had to do was have them both rebuilt?

Can a 1972 Catalina 400 block even take the heat of modding it like that? Im sure a judge motor came out with a steel crank. I dont know if mine is steel or not. Im pretty sure its cast.
