1999 Grand Marquis Wiper Problems

I can't find any information on how to trouble shoot my wiper problems. I have a 1999 grand marquis and the wipers only work on high. When I try to use any other speed I hear a clicking sounding like it is comming from the dash board but nothing except high works. Any assistance will be appreciated.

The best place to get info like this and get it right now is at www.alldatadiy.com or at your local library for a good service manual.
The subscription at alldata is for one year and costs $24.95...well worth the money as apposed to just replacing parts.

I had same problem. I replaced the whole wiper/hi-beam/washer arm assembly. It unbolts very easily from the steering column

Possible Source(s) also may inlcude:

- Wiper motor.
- Wiper control module.
- Circuitry.
- Multifunction switch.

but I would start with Multifunction switch.
