Yeah work better than those N2O N-tercoolers! Helps super cool the air so that's always good. You can always hook up an I/C water spray! Just find a washer bottle, motor and a couple of jets and mount them in front of your i/c and then when you hit the switch it'll spray the i/c cooling the air more so. Just make sure you run Distilled water so you don't get scum on your i/c. I hooked up a system on a buddy's car in England and although I never rode in it after I did it he said he could feel the difference. WRX's have these.
I was reading up on Superchargers last night and I think I would only get one if it was an Eaton! Jackson Knight are developing an electrically driven s/c that is not to be confused with those gay cut down hair dryers on e-bay. But the way it works it can only be used in about 15 second bursts! Although if SAE get their way and cars begin to run on a 42 volt system (can't see this happening to honest at least not for the next 10 years, it would cost too much to make the switch!) then this system will be more likely to be the best set up of all! The maiun thing that makes turbos harder as an install is the Cat 'light up' time. this is the time it takes for a cat to reach operating temp and do it's job properly! With a turbo, it get's in the way so what usually takes 30 seconds on a cold start takes twice as long if not longer! But I think it depends on the application and what you are planning to use the vehicle for!
