Angry 3rd Party Amplifier

Okay,

So after 2 days of ripping panels out and seeing how I can thread cables from the front of the car through to the back, I think I've cracked it. However, amp placement does not seem so easy. Short of taking out the battery and trying to fit the amp into the front of the compartment, where else have people managed to place their amps?

I just gots to know.

Okay, so after a few hours, much grumbling, swearing and contorting myself into strange positions I've managed to get it in the battery compartment.

However, I go to fit the new speakers only to find that the ones I bought which my local car audio centre assured me would fit in the same space with no need for modifications etc ... doesn't.

Re: 3rd Party Amplifier

Sorry to add on so late mabey this will help someone eles. I had a simalar problem with my amp and front speakers. the amp fits great in the trunk behind the pull down panel, you just have to remove the carbon canister anb besure not to plug the gas tank vent. If the car is more then 4 or 5 years old, it isn't doing anything anyway, the carbon is spent. And if you add rear speakers you can relocate the jack and mount speakers in the rear wall.
Buy the way the car still passes the ridged Calif. smog without the canister.
