Re: Ferrari F40 Competizione

Andrew.. I would LOVE to see some pics of a purple C5R :O maybe it does look cool

BUT I have a SMALL VERY TINY progress on this one too..
I made some yellow "rim-tape" for the four wheels.. I think they will look great when the car is done.. they will match the yellow on the body..

Re: Ferrari F40 Competizione

Update

I have been working today.. finished the.. I don´t know what they are called.. but the holes in the hood.. :P I have also finished the rear hatch.. almost..

I have made my own registration sign in the back.. Tamiya offcourse

This is the intercooler I have been working on too.. my father came up with this idea.. but I came up with a better later on.. But I think it´s important for him to feel active in my hobby too.. So I did not change it..

this is the total mockup.. with the door open etc. .. this is how it will look..

The wing support

The Engine

and the Scratchbuilt airduct that goes from and opening in the body...

To an intercooler in the rear

the rear-wing.. 100% scratched

the reg. sign

the Aggresive rear-end !

Re: Ferrari F40 Competizione

nice job, and very ambitious. a few comments:

1. the seatbelt isn't screwed up, it's race-worn!
2. when using thread to mimic electical wire, i've heard that rubbing it with beeswax will prevent the strands from fraying and it also will make the thread a little stiffer so it's easier to form. never tried it, but i remember reading it years ago.
3. it's really cool that your dad is involved in your hobby!

you've got a lot of ambitious ideas and you're developing some real talent... you're definitely a builder to watch!
