d series to b series

i have a very nice header for my d series motor with very nice sized runners. i also have a b16 header that hangs very low so cant be used on my b16 motor. what i wanted to do was cut the headers where the plates are bolted to the head. i was hoping that the runners would be somwhat close to the b16 ports so i could just bent it simply and weld the b series header plate to the d series header. what do you guys think? i dont have both at my house so i cant compare so if anyone is fermiliar with both please help me out thanks.

Re: d series to b series

wow that's really interesting. i have heard of ppl doin this because of clearance issues, but you gotta know how to weld and bend. the pipe right. do some research on it, before you tear up ur header.

Re: d series to b series

yeah man thanks for noticing. i couldent get the motor that came with it to run so i bought a single cam d15 thst was bored over .020 and had 0 miles on it. i will get some pics up after the b series goes in wich should be a breez since everything that could happen has in the past so i am ready for it. and the timing is already done on this motor. but my friends were taking off my wheels one night so he could put them on his car for the drag strip. (he has a camber problem and is showong steel) but anyway i get out of the shower and walk over to see the progress. and the front of my car is droped on the ground so now there is a huge dent in my fender. but he will replace it as sson as i pay my debt off from him lending me a engine

the guy dident use the same color primer on this side as you can see to the rear

Re: d series to b series

haha the primer club. me and my friend were joking around with that idea one night since there are so many hondas out there with primer jobs but yeah im gonna do it myself. it will be my first time but i got an idea of what i want and how to do it. just gonna go with the stock red. and put the trim back on it. not sure if i want the bumpers black or not yet. but how is your car doin?
