3 of 4 Door Mounted Speakers vibrate and sound quality is terrible with additional Bass. I looked at the speakers and there is nothing visibly wrong (rips or burnt wires) I didn't mind them when they worked so replacing with OEM Infinity's are OK by me - however what needs to be replaced?

When I had a cracking tweeter on my Grand I decided to replace both sides. Good thing - while the cracking side was visibly torn, I had to look carefully and press on the cone to see that the other side was starting separate also, so check them closely for tears and brittle cone material. |

Re: 1998 Infinity Bad Speakers or Amp?
'98 G.C. Ltd. - I had the same problem. I replaced my factory unit with an Alpine head unit and got 4 new Infinity (of course) main speakers. If you have the original system, keep the tweeters up in the dashboard if you can, and you can run everything through the original amp and still have it sound great.
