What Did I Do Wrong? - Horn Problem

I had to replace the steering wheel in my wife's '99 Intrigue - the original was badly pitted and the covering was flaking off.

I got another steering wheel from a salvage yard and got it installed in about an hour. But now the horn won't work

I was carefull when I took the airbag off and got the old wheel off and I thought I got everything back where it came from - this should have been a pretty simple job.

The only wire I wasn't sure of was the black wire on the back of the airbag with the round metal connector on the end. When I pulled the airbag off the wire came off before I really got to see where it was connected. There looked to be only one place to reconnect the wire during re-assembly so that's where I attached it - I think this is the problem but I can't see anyplace to connect the black wire too.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!!

Wes

That wire you described sounds like the ground wire for something in there. Attach it to a metal screw (put it on like you would a washer nut), which would be screwed into an unpainted metal surface.
