I have a 99 with a 3.8

Just wondering was the 3.8 engine an extra cost option on a 99 Intrigue vs the 3.5 and which is a better engine

Re: I have a 99 with a 3.8

The 3.5L V6 was an option on '99, it was considered the premium engine with its DOHC 24V, all aluminum Northstar based design. It was also rated at 215 HP vs. the 3.8's 200 HP.

They are both very solid engines, its hard to say which one is better really, it depends on what youre looking for out of an engine.

But dont get me started on comparing the 3.8 and 3.5, its a favorite topic of mine and ill babble on for paragraphs
