Question proceedur for replacing head gasket???

i am trying to "pimp up the look of my motor and in doing so i'm replacing the head gasket so i dont get oil spray "that black stuff" everywhere was wondering if i needed to apply grease or somesort of adhesive please answer as soon as possible.

Ur best bet is to pick up a Chiltons/Haynes manual from ur local auto store, there is too many instructions to explain, but i practised a head gasket job at the junkyard the other day, i wud reccomend that first so u get the hang of things.

you have oil comming from your head gasket.... and it still runs fine.....and are you wanting to replace it or just glue it, i'm so lost

EDIT: but with further reading it better he did mention adhesive so thats a good question steve.

lol 99cavy i love that quote, i guess kudos goto Oz but thats great. I told that to my friends and they roared! Anyways maybe revise ur question so we can better help you, either way i suggest getting a haynes manual anyways.
