OBD2 plug
I have a '94 Bonneville SE that has an OBD-2 plug on it. It runs on the software meant for the OBD-1 plugs. I can't get the check engine light to blink so I can get the codes to find the problem. The manual said that you can jumper the plug in this case with the 5 and 6 terminals. There is no 6 terminal on the plug. This is not unique to my car. My brother's car is the same way ('94 Bonne). The dealer wants $90 to check it for me. Anyone know what to do?? Thanx- Ryan

Re: OBD2 plug
GM's hybrid 94-95 systems require a special adaptor/scan tool to pull the codes. The paper clip/jumper wire trick won't work, and the cheapo OBDII scan tools (like they use/sell at Advance and Auto Zone) can't pull codes from these cars.
