2002 Sebring Programing key

I have a spare key for my daughters recently purchased 2002 Sebring.Problem is,it turns and starts the car but the car immediately shuts off.I`m thinking it needs programming.Does this have to be done at the dealer?

If you have two operating keys you can do it. Any less than two keys will require a dealer to do it. Don't know how much it costs but I'm getting ready to have one programmed by a dealer for my 01 bring vert. I think the procedure is in the owner's manual. If it isn't, let me know and I'll send it to you.

well, I have an 02 Sebring LX, and when I bought the car it came with one key. I had to purchase a second programmed key and it had to be done at the dealership. It was $80 I believe.

could you send me the program instructions for a 2000 Sebring Convertable key asap i work for a used dealer and a customer had ordered another ket and we need to program it if you could do that it would be greatly appriciated. thanks mike
