84 cutllas ciera 2.5l

Me and my friend just put a brand new head gasket on his 84 ciera and put everything back on and fired it up......................

It starts up at a high idle and kinda has a fast clunking noise.............
i know its not a rod knock because th engine ran great before we took it apart except for the blown head gasket..........

im thinkin its the push rods or the rocker arms that are miss adjusted........

Can some one help me out with identifing the noise and whats going on with the idle???????????????????????
thank you..
