GrandPrix 1994 woudn't start, fuel related problem???
I have a GrandPrix 94 with 3.4 DOHC and one day it just refused to start. The engine cranks and if I spray some starting fluid in the manifold it will start for a second and than stall suddenly. So I replaced the fuel pump since I thought that was the reason, but eventhough the pump is replaced the car behaves the exact same way. What is so strange that even the pump is new it doen't seem to be working because I don't hear any sound coming from the gas tank. I replaced the fuel pump riley and still nothing. I unhooked the fuel line from the gas tank just to see if there is any fuel coming out of the the lines directly from the tank, but still nothing. I also checked if the lines are pluged, but they seems not to be after my inspection. I would really appreciate if anyone can give a quick advice where to look for the problem. Any posting will be appreciated.
Thank you. |

ECM & the fuel pump share the same fuse. Should be fuse #20 but check them all. Let us know what you find. Do you have a voltmeter?

I got that fuse ECM and I found out that is blown. After I replace it I will post a reply to let you know how it went. I hope that is the problem. Thank you so much. I looked for fuel pump fuse but there is no such a fuse. Anyways I will get back to you soon. Thanks.
P.S. I don't have voltmeter, but I can provide myself with one if after fuse replacement still doesn't work. |
