Cooling Fans

Hello all!

I have a question concerning the cooling fans on a 2000 LS. I noticed last night that only 1 fan came on. The AC was turned on, and the car was up to running temp. The passenger fan was turning, but the driver side fan was not.

Should both fans be running with the AC on?

I did notice the other day that the car made a pretty loud "squealing" noise when first started in the morning. When I popped the hood, it sounded like it was coming from the driver side cooling fan. I'm thinking shot bearings have lead to a complete fan failure.

How difficult is it to replace this fan, if that in fact is what the problem is?

Full eng tempt and air on usually both fans should run.
If a squealing noise from fan motor replace it.
They are usually not to hard to replace.

Re: Cooling Fans

Can I buy just one fan, or do I have to buy the entire fan/shroud assembly?
