Re: need help building a cold air intake

look up what other people have done on different car sites and copy their ideas. That would be the easiest thing to do.

Re: need help building a cold air intake

I would never ever put that intake off ebay on my car. Look at the filter they give you it looks like the cheapest piece of shit they could find. I built my own with a K&N Cone filter, some special tubing I found on the internet (I can't remember the name of it but I can figure it out if you ar interested) and some exhaust tubing. I bet the whole thing only cost me $50 and it was way better than that POS off ebay...

Slow down killer!

I forgot to add that bent pipe is bent pipe! It doesnt matter where you get it from. If you get it off ebay it comes cheap and bent! Then you just get a good air filter like a K&N and not have to worry about getting a shop to bend it and get all the hardware to put it on properly. Thoes air filters that come with them are crap! I've had some fall apart in my fender and who know how long it was like that before I noticed.

Re: need help building a cold air intake

I didn't use bent pipe. The only thing I used pipe for was the exhaust tubing that was for something to connect the tubing and filter together. All that I was saying is that the kit you linked to is a pile of dog excrement. If you are going to put in a intake system either spend the money and get a good one or build a good one yourself. Don't got buying a crappy knock off and think it will work as well as a quality product.
