These kind of problems are usually traced back to bad connections or Alternator/Regulator errors.

First, check the connections at your battery, make sure their clean and tight. The battery itself can be a suspect especially if its more than 2/3 years old -- have it checked for free at an Autozone, Kragens, Pep Boys, etc.

Alternator/Regulator problems have caused all sorts of enomolies in the lighting and electrical systems in these cars. All these systems are electronically controlled via linking Modules that require a steady minimum voltage to function properly.

If the battery checks good, the Alternator (charging system) can also be tested for free at the same places that test battery's.
