trans leak

okay im looking at this 1979 firebird for 1 grand
the only problem it has it that the tansmisson leaks from the dip stick
i was wondering how much this would cost to fix or if it would even be worth buyin

It it's a leak at the base of the tube on the trans body it's just a little 5 cent o-ring,.
