Re: Musashi and the goat might have met its match

12.45 is slow for his mods.
Theres a guy in the South FL New Goat Club that has his same mods and runs 11.6XX. I think the difference must be in the tunning. Our tunner is a freaking God of the LS1 and LS2.

As for my personal times Ive come to realize I can run a 13.8 if I could get the rear to hook up right. I always bog or spin too much. My shifting is fine, my clutch and rev match is nearly perfect my problem is the launch. 2000 rpm launch = bog, 2200 rpm match = spin.
I had my wife video me on 4 or 5 runs and I taped the inside of 2 runs. you look at the vids and you can see I shift perfect, the revs are right on que, the pedal control is there. From outside you see the car pull every shift.
Now you time the interval between the green and the moment I clear the tree and Im loosing 1.10 to 1.35 seconds just spining rubber.

oh well what can you do

You can't talk about slow times.

cause if you move an inch foreward or an inch back you'll step outside the stage and your time wont get calculated.

The Goat nick name is a rearangement of the GTO logo.
It was the most popular names of the car from back int eh 60's and the one that became most recognized.
It was also called "The Tiger", "The Great One", "The Judge" and "The Humbler" between 1965 and 1974.

Yes they are hard to drive, most of the guys here who rag on me wouldnt do much better if they where given one.

You're also automatic. Holding and launching is worlds easier with an auto than a manual.

I will go to the track after the chemo therapy. I've goofed off with it w/ a Gtech, and w/ no heat up of the drag radials. Just goofing off with it it ran a 13.2 sec. 1/4 mile at 110mph. My last best at the strip was a 13.1 at 109mph. I'm sure w/ the 4.10's and by heating up the DR's that I can cut a better 60' by 2 tenths of a sec., which would put me in the high 12's. Without any heat up I can cut a 2.1 sec. 60' repeatedly.
