Re: temp problem

well seeing as i think 95-01 cavs had the older 2200 engine, i know my 96 kicks on about 3/4 of the way up sometimes a little higher. I dont know why it waits for so long to kick on i think its a stupid idea. Most cars, even neons the fan kicks on if it gets a smidgeon over half.

Re: temp problem

not sure what the exact temperature is but on my 2200 the fan will kick on when the guage gets to about 3/4, and then it will go back down to exactly halfway, then back up to 3/4, only gets that high when im parked for a while though

Re: temp problem

Mine does the same except sometimes it nearly overheats. I turn the AC to turn the fan on. Then it cools down. What the (bleep) was GM thinking doing it like this?
Now I know rigging in a fan switch is a good idea.. Ill do it this weekend...
