BMW 325i in snowy conditions

Hi there,

Wondering if ppl can comment on how the 2002 325i handles in snowy, icy, or wet conditions. I live in mpls, MN so I have to deal with these once in a while. Does the car handle ok with snow tires? Do I need the AWD or does the all-season traction and dsc help keep the car from slipping and slidding.

325i in snowy conditions

I own a 2001 325i sedan....which is essentially the same car as the 2002......I live in New England and survived this past Winter very easily (although it was a mild winter).......I put some sand bags in the back and drove the stock Continental All-Seasons.....I like to think...if you grew up driving in snow.....you shouldnt have too much of a problem driving a BMW in it.....but....it is real wheel drive....so be careful (fish tailing)....ive been told that snow tires do improve the ride alot...so test the stocks out after the first snow fall...and make your determination then.

I'd definitely go with snow tires. I drive a '92 325i and I've run with all 4 snow tires in the winter. I live in PA, so we do get a bit of snow. They really do make a difference.

Drove my 2002 325i all last winter here in Germany with all seasons. Had no problems, even with all the snow here.

Hello All,
I also live in PA. I had a 95' 325i that I got a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks for. The traction with these tires is amazing!
