well just got a new headunit and all of a sudden im gettin bad receptioin. had to buy an adapter have it hooked up and no its not loose any where. I dont think its the headunit its a sony $170 so i would hope not. Right now i only pick up 4 stations with full strength. Im thinkin maybe somethin with the antenna???

why not try to hook up the old radio to see if you get more than four stations. if so its the sony, (which it wouldn't suprize me if it was)

I had a sony head unit that was a piece of CRAP. Bad reception, lousy sound (especially at high volume), and the display was unreadable in sunlight. If it's a 7700 series model sony, get rid of it for sure.
