240SX SER 2.0L questions
Hey guys I just found the site here and thought I might ask a couple of questions. or two to see what you guys think. I just bought a 95 200SX SER with the 2.0. This is the first Nissan I have ever owned so I am not very familar with the various models. I want to pro the car but am having difficulty in finding a place that sells parts for this car.
As for my questions: 1. Is is true that the Sentra also shares some of the same parts? 2. Also I am wondering where to go to purcharse the upgrades. 3. N/A vs. Turbo and why you think so. Also unfortunately the car does have 165,000 miles on it so keep that in mind as well. 4. Looking to use the car for street race type activities, not drag or anything else, so what do you recommend work wise. Budget is an issue for me because I am currently a student. I am looking for the best bang for the buck. Thanks for the help |

Re: 240SX SER 2.0L questions
ok #1 is your in the wrong forum...notice the 200sx(RWD) in the title.
but yes the sentra is just a 4-door version of the 200sx. they share nearly all parts with each other. go to jimwolftechnology.com for lots of parts. also, try courtesyparts.com keep in mind the 2.0L is nearly the same as the SR20DET that people are putting in 240sx all over the place(im sure youve heard at least something about this), so research into what parts you can use from either engine. id suggest going n/a. turbo will cost at least a grand or two, and with that high mileage, id be concerned with the longevity of boosting it. you can make not tons of power n/a, but enough to have some fun. hotshot headers(www.hotshot.com) are decent, plus an intake and 2.5" exhaust from the cat back, some basic spring/shock combo, rims, tires, and upgrade your brakes. concerning brakes, the calipers, pads, and rotors from a 91-93 nissan nx2000 with ABS will bolt on to your car without any issues(except they wont fit under 14" rims) and the entire kit is available brand new from courtesyparts.com, otherwise you can piece it together from your parts store or a junkyard. if you have any more questions, ask in the sentra forum at the bottom of the nissan list, or just pm me if you want.
