im interested in buying a celica!

so i started looking at celicas today and i think i may purschase one..i like the 90-93 models. i know nothing about these cars. so whats the best model i can get for that year? is it a GTS?

the best model you can get is the alltrac turbo, a 200hp awd turbocharged 2.0 version. these are quite rare though and its doubtful you will find one.

both the gt and gt-s came with a 130hp 140tq 2.2 with fwd, but the gt-s came with a factory upgraded suspension and wider fenders, but was a little heavier and only came in hatchback. the gt came in hatchback and coupe (i think hatchback looks way better though)

the lowest model is the st which came with 105hp 1.6 and only came in coupe form.

Hard to say what's "best" because we don't know what YOU like! We've had both the 2.2 with a 5 speed and the 1.6 with an AT in the family. I personally liked the smaller motor better because it revved up smoothly with a nice snarl and got really awesome fuel mileage even with the automatic.

Not that the bigger engine is bad, I just liked the 1.6 more.

Drive a couple, see what you prefer...

the all trac is the best celica for that year, however if you do decide on buying going for that one, good luck on finding one
