hazards and blinker problem

I have a problem with my 98 Taurus.
Blinkers and Hazards work intermittely. Especially when the car has been driven for awhile.
Any suggestions what could be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

About the only thing in the circuit that could cause this is the multifunction switch or connections/wiring to it. I can e-mail a PDF copy of the procedure to replace and/or test if you private message me with an e-mail address for you that can accept attachments.

Re: hazards and blinker problem

I had a similar problem a few years back with my 98 Taurus, it was the signal relay. Its located up under the dashboard, left of the steering column, up near the top edge. You have to reach your arm way up inside and disconnect it from the dash framing in order to disconnect the relay from its plug. I was only able to find it using a wiring schematic. Good luck.
