Question Wiring an Amp in my '00 Silverado

I got a couple of questions for you audio guys.
Can I hook the power wire for an amp to the little red box marked "battery" by the alternator or will this create noise?
Also, can I ground the amp to the mounting bolt for the back seat?

I second that. Sounds like a good connection to me.

Re: Wiring an Amp in my '00 Silverado

ya you can hook there or straight to the battery. the only way you will get noise is from a bad ground or having cheap rca's or having rca's to close to power wire throughout the truck.
