Lund Bug Shield Fitment issue on '02 2500HD?

Anyone had any issues with a Lund bug shield on a 2500HD?

I went to put mind on and the first thing that I ran into were that the press in clips for the screws were undersized for the holes in the hood. This is not a bid deal though as screws expand them enough so that they fit tight.

The second issue was that screw holes in the mounting lip were too far back which made it difficult to align the screws and kept the mounting lip from sitting perfectly flush with the hood.

The third issue probably relates to the second one which is that the hood won't close. The shield contacts the grill and the lights and would screw something up if slammed hard enough to close it.

Lund is sending me a replacement and said it didn't sound right but am worried that I will have the same isse again. Anyone else had any troubles?

Hopefully the replacement will fit better and maybe adjust the front of the hood up a hair?!

Thanks!

I"ve got a Lund Interceptor on my '03 2500HD and it fits like a glove.
