OEM Steering Wheel

So, in two weeks I'm buying a '03 Cavalier. I've already layed out the game plan for this car that will start next year after my freshman year in college. The only answer I haven't found thus far was about the steering wheel. I didn't like the feel of it compared to the familys '98 Cav steering wheel. Would it be possible to just snatch a pre '03 steering wheel and put it on? Or are the internals different?

Re: OEM Steering Wheel

All depends on the airbag wires I'd suppose. And if the airbag will work afterwards, if you care about the airbag of course.... I personally think the swap would work, I just don't know about the airbag functioning later.

Re: OEM Steering Wheel

Yeah, I must have the airbag. I guess a project for another time and I'll let everyone know how this car turns out in the next few months. Any other suggestions? Hell, if it's even fesable I'd like to take a '01 Silverado wheel and put it on.

Re: OEM Steering Wheel

go to a junkyard and pull the wheel you like out and compare the connections.
