MB Quart Any good?

I have a bad habit I go somewhere for one thing and I see something else. Well, when I ordered my amp from woofersetc.com I seen they had a sale on MB Quart woofers...anyone used them or heard them used? I know some of their stuff is really good. I think it's the Reference series that I seen on sale and was wondering if anyone liked them.

Re: MB Quart Any good?

Ive had a couple sets of 6x9's and a 5.25 compnent set a while back. I loved the way they sounded, i liked them more than infinity's kappa compnents, the tweeters can be kind of harsh on the highs on the kappas, but the MBquarts had nice sound and you can get them on ebay for a good price. Im not sure about there subs, bu i did love there comps.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

MBQuart makes really good mid/tweets, especially their high end stuff. Not too sure about the subs though - but you can be sure they will be more SQ oriented than SPL oriented

Re: MB Quart Any good?

There subs are extrememly cheap i might have to get one just to play with it. I do like the reverse surround, looks pretty cool. Im getting ready to get a set for my blazer, ive been debating between a/d/s, a set of re's, the mb quarts, some infinity perfects, cdt's and some other sets but the mb quarts looked like the best value so far.

Re: MB Quart Any good?

Yeah. The ones on woofersetc.com are dual 2 ohm though. Was thinking about 2 of those and the hifonics amp...might still do that not sure though.
