Air Conditioning - air cold on psgr vents, warm on driver vents?

My son has a 97 GP GT, he recently added refridgerant using a kit he got at AutoZone. I drove the car the other day when it was very hot out. When I put the AC on, cold air was coing out of the two vents on the passenger side, but the driver side vents were warm. The car has a single temp control, not dual. I spun the temp control and messed with some other settings but it didn't make any difference.

Eventually the driver side got a little cooler, but this is weird.

Anyone ever hear of this, or have any ideas?

On a manual HVAC system it means that the R134a refrigerant charge is not correct.....probably still low.
