Ready to say "bye" to my Camry :( Need advice on new car!
Hi guys!
Well my 93 camry is still running strong, only minor cosmetic problems. However, I'm fed up with driving an automatic transmission, and I can't wait to switch to a manual car. Can someone recommend a good manual car that's approximately worth same as my car? (I can probably add up to $1000 on its value). My car is: 93 Camry LE 2.2 liter 4 door, 180k miles, alloy wheels, 10 disc CD changer, power steering, windows, locks, very clean car. Problems include: AC doesn't work, cruise control doesn't work, moderate oil leak (have to add oil once every few months), some small dents on the body, some scratches, some chipped paint in the front. What's wierd is that I can't figure out the value of this car. I checked out different places, like kelly blue book, nada, edmunds, and everywhere the prices are different. I've checked out other listings of this car and people are selling it anywhere from $900 to $6000 without any serious difference between the listings. So, please suggest a new car for me, and help me out with the value ![]() PS I test driven a 90 integra today... jesus this car would smoke my camry and leave it eating dust. |

Re: Ready to say "bye" to my Camry :( Need advice on new car!
I'd say the car is worth 500-1200, of course thats if you find a smart buyer you could obviously sell it for 2+ grand to some morons who dont understand the concept of money.
Anyway reccomendations for buying a car is sortof hard to do. i'd have to know who you are and what you like. I'd personally say pick up an 1970's Oldsmobile Delta 88 for around 100 bucks and you'll do just fine. (my cousin up near canada has about 15 of these things for 50-150 bucks) But thats my preference in cars not yours. so I cant really help you. |

Well all i want from the car is a stick shift and to have some leg room. BTW I think you undervalued the car significantly.
I test driven an integra, like I said, and liked it a lot, except that it looked like crap. |
