2003 Olds Silouette won't start

All of a sudden our 2003 Oldsmobile Silouette won't start - lights and radio work fine; almost like locked out of starting. No problems prior. Anyone else have the same thing and know what the issue is?

Perhaps an issue with the "theftlock" system? Search the archives (and Venture and Montana) for the forums and see if there are ideas on what to try.....have yoiu tried using a different key? Do you have other keys from other cars on the ring? That might confuse it.....glen

Thanks for the reply - tried a different key - on a separate key ring; no luck. we are having it towed thinking it is the starter. I did search the other forums and saw this note on the theft system thus why I asked - acted like I saw described but never would it start. I'll update post mechanic and $$

Check the fuse for the Central Locking, if you have it.
This happened on my ol'Gal (Lumina APV) and we disconnected the central locking. After that it workied just fine!!

Check the starter relay under the hood by the rad. Could be intermittent. Maybe switch it with the A/C relay and try it for a bit to see if it makes a difference if the relays are the same.

We are having same problem. Burning out pcm's, 4 so far.
service dept can't pinpoint cause. Help!!!
