97 engine R&R
hello yall i just aquired a 1997 countour gl but it needs an engine i was just wondering how hard is it to do also any tricks? you will probly be seeing me alot on here.

Step one, get a repair manual. Read the manual while looking at the motor and see what is involved in removing the motor. Then decide if it is a job you want to do. The job shouldn't be too hard. If possible take digital pictures to help put everything back. Mark, tape or identify wires and hoses to make reconnection easy.

thanks alot the previous owner has a manual that i will be getting from him and also i planed on taking pics for the previous owner . he wanted to see how it was done but thanks any others?

Is it a v6 or a 4 cylinder?The v6 comes out from the bottom with the transmission and that is what the book says to do.It is easier that way.
