electical

I've got an 06 that I installed a Sirius Xact receiver. I'm currently using the power outlet but want to find a switched wire that I can tap for power that will shut off with the ignition. Knowing that some circuits are sensitive to additonal power draws because of all the black box monitoring, I need to find one that is safe for the receiver power. On my 04 TrailBlazer I found a pink wire on the steering column that works fine. I haven't gone exploring under the dash of the Avalanche yet, any suggestions?

If I were you I would look for power from the OEM headunit. That way it would stay powered until you open the door just like the radio. I can't help you with the color wire but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
