Yellow Top Or Red Top??

I Was Wondering If The Red Top Optima Battery Is Better Than The Ac Delco Battery That My Impala Has. I Know That The Yellow Is The Best Out There. Also Which Is The Best Syntethic Oil For My Impala.

Re: Yellow Top Or Red Top??

I have a '96 Impala with a red top battery in it. I am amazed by it. It's been in the car for 6+ years. I take it off of the road all winter and the thing cranks up fine every time. The only decision I'll have to make when I buy another battery is which kind of Optima to buy.

Re: Yellow Top Or Red Top??

I replaced the OEM Delco battery in my '01 LS with an Optima Red Top... It's a great battery and has never let me down... I think the yellow top has about the same cold cranking amps but is a deeper cycle battery... Good if you have a mega-watt audio system in the car or something like that...
