99 Stratus/Breeze door speaker
How do you get to the door speaker in the bad boys?
I've started to pull the door panel off, but can't get past the window winder handle. How does thta sucker come off? Cutting torch? |

Re: 99 Stratus/Breeze door speaker
The grill in front of the speaker slips out. It is held in place with a sticky gum like material. Just gently pry the edges out until it comes off. You are making an easy job too hard.

Why does it seem like our forum is the troubled one? It seems like every post in the stratus threads are troubles, about fuses, stuff messing up, lets start talking about performance stuff. My friend Vanilla_gorilla is on the mitsubishi forums, and they never talk about stuff that is tore up. Lets make the stratus forums come to life. IS THAT A GOOD IDEA>>>>>>>>>>>OR WUT!!!!

Re: 99 Stratus/Breeze door speaker
Actually the '99 Stratus/Breeze has no 'gum'. The metal grill has to be pryed out at the bottom then lifted up towards the sideview mirrors & pulled out. First though, the window winder needs to be removed (this was my original problem). There is a retaining clip hidden behind a trim-ring (washer). The clip is very hard to see unless you know what your looking for.
I think the forum is in good shape as it is. Please feel free to 'talk' about performance, others will join in. I mainly come here to seek assitance with repairs to my 2 cars and would be happy to read about increasing their performance. |
