High Mileage C5s

If I could find a C5 corvette with over 100k miles, do you think it could be had for around 12k, maybe 10k? If not, how much and what years. I'm considering a lot of V8s and this is the top dollar choice.

Adds- is the 6 speed worth more or less?

Re: High Mileage C5s

6 speeds are typically worth about the same in hard tops and a little less in convertibles.

I looked a few months ago and I found a few '98s and '99s for about $12000 with high mileage.

Re: High Mileage C5s

I've seen them that low before, but they were well into the 130,000 miles area.

So you're saying I might as well buy a corvette that needs a new engine?

I don't think that's quite what PS3 is saying...more like when you're looking at something with that high of mileage (especially a sports car) you're probably going to need a rebuild on the engine and possibly other components. But who knows you might find one that was driven real nice on the highway and you might never have any problems with it.
