What about the seats?

I'm looking to have the interior redone on my '82 Pace Car, and I want to have some nice custom vinyl made by Katzkin (you know, with the heaters and coolers installed), but they only go back as early as '93. So my question is will '93 seats fit in my '82? I know that I'll lose my specialty driver seat, but I've given up looking for replacement Pace Car seats. Also will the door panels from a '93 fit?

Thanks in advance guys.

Re: What about the seats?

door panels can be modified to fit...its just no fun to do it. The seats bolt right in.

Yup.. door panels have to be modified.. personally I wouldnt do it, but the seats would be a straight bolt on..

This reminds me of a red 3rd gen that I saw and had a COMPLETE 4th gen interior.. EVERYTHING.. the only problem was that the doors didnt line up completely. As in they closed and all but didnt exactly line up with the car from the outside.

Re: What about the seats?

If the seats you have are the ones with the removable headrest, you may be able to use a pattern that Classic Soft Trim has for a 91-92 model. should be the same design or very close. (they make leather covers not vinyl) http://www.classicsofttrim.com/index.html

Another place to check on custom work is Mr Mikes (ithink they will do both vinyl & leather)
