Re: What offset will fit best

why would it matter if i get coilovers or not?
Im thinkin about getting wheels now but If i need coilovers to get a wheel that looks and fits good I will probally just wait until i have the money for both. How flush would that 18"x 9.5 be any pics of that offset would be appreciated.
Thanks... Zac

Re: What offset will fit best

because the front struts have that plate the spring sits on and the wheel wont clear it. coilovers dont have that, since the springs are skinny like shock springs. i know 235/45/17s are about as big as you can go in front. 225/45/17s are the limit for an s13 and the s14 IIRC has slightly more clearance. oh and offset doesnt matter in this case because theres no way to get a low enough offset to get the wheel far enough out to clear the spring perch, unless you want to get a widebody kit and cut away the stock fenders. so either way youll be stuck buying something else.

Re: What offset will fit best

Im going to have to agree with slideways here. didnt realize you didnt have coilovers...but hes right you'll hit with that sizing without coils. I dont have pics of 18x9.5 +15 but i have pics of 18x9 +24 (which is very similar) about a 1/2 difference outward in offset. But 18x9.5 +14 will be really flush with 245 tires. You'll have to roll the lip (no pull).

Re: What offset will fit best

Re: What offset will fit best

should with coilovers, if you keep the profile 40 series or lower, you should clear with struts also.
