Thinking of selling the GTI...
When I was looking at cars I was torn between the 350Z and the GTI.
I bought the GTI because it was much more practical. Now I'm tired of being practical and thinking about selling the GTI for a Z. I love my GTI and I love having room for people and luggage and its FWD for the snow. But god I love that Z. Its so good looking and it has a great past. However, after having driven both, I honestly think the GTI pulls harder then the Z and I've read alot on GTI forums about GTIs beating Zs. Insurance was also a big thing because I'm 18 and have a penis and the GTI is far safer, but in the long run insurance, there is about a $40/month difference. If I sell it within like the next 6 months I wont really lose any money but Im torn. Do I stay practical or do I trade in for the Z? What would you do? P.S. Everytime I see that new Eclipse, I start Jonesing for that aswell.

Re: Thinking of selling the GTI...
No offense, but at that age I'd say stay practical. I didn't, and many times I have regretted it. Being a student on a limited income, there are just so many reasons where practicality outweigh the 'fun' factor. Just my .02

Re: Thinking of selling the GTI...
Im not on a limited budget. I work full time and make plenty of money to afford these cars, just the Z maybe a little tighter. And school is free through work so I dont have to worry about those costs.

Re: Thinking of selling the GTI...
i would get the z. becouse it's nice as hell and has 300 hp. now about people saying that a gti can beat a z let me guess they have a extermely modded engine with forced induction to try to make up for the 100hp difference. or the guy in the z blew his engine/ can't drive manuel worth a damn. so yea get the z . plus i hate vw

Re: Thinking of selling the GTI...
I love GTIs, and Zs are awesome aswell. I think i would stick w/ the gti because its more practical, and i think it packs a lot of "umph". You said yourself you feel it pulls harder. If its looks that your going for, throw some nice shoes on that Bad AZZ GTI, and your set. Dont forget that GTI's also have a very rich history. Thats what i would do. ( plus, people dont really expect a little VW wagon looking thing to be that powerful, so when you beat'em in a quick race they'll feel like crap. lol )
PS: is it a new MKV? |
