I have a 03 Impala and for some reason the high beam indicator on the dash is on all the time even when the low beams are on. Everything seems OK except for the light. ANY IDEAS what it could be?

Re: 03 Impala High Beam light on all the time
Some component is sending 12 volts to the HB lamp because one side is always grounded. I would check the wiring from the multifunction switch at steering column to the Instrument Panel (IP). The HB indicator may have a separate contact output from the multifunction switch, although the low/high beams are working properly. Also, there is a decoder module with diodes for all idiot lights in the Instrument Panel.
