90 Jetta blows oil out the dipstick tube
Is this a common problems on these cars. Afriend just bought this and it has good compression 155 160 155 160 If I release pressure by removing oil cap it stops spewing out the dipstick. Old escort 1.6s used to do this if the baffle in valve cover got blocked.

Re: 90 Jetta blows oil out the dipstick tube
Check the pcv valve. There aobut $80 so don't buy on if it isn't needed. They are a check valve mounted on the front right side of the valve cover. Air should blow through the tube that connects to the breather, but you shouldn't be able to blow air through in the other direction.
