94' Park Ultra Water PUMP

Wow what a job..
94' 130k mi. Ultra

My water pump broke apart. The GM part flange to shaft unwelded and the pulley flew off to take out my belts and they burned a hole in my power steering pump's plastic secondary resovoir.

2 belts $60
1 water pump $22
1 power steering pump $72 (epoxied it.. -$72)
Coolant $7
Power steering fluid $5
MY Total Damages.. $166 In parts.

Took me 6 hours and a six pack. All from the topside.
Remove = (R)
R Battery + terminal
Drain coolant. (to later get heater hoses out of the way)
Support engine with jack and board.
R Right motor mount completely. (just loosen lower bolts on fender) .
Jack Lift motor further carefully with board on oil pan.
R Cross over strut support (makes it easier)
R Serpantine belts
R Alternator completely (makes it easier)
R Coolant Resovoir (makes it easier)
R Dual Idler wheel
R Loose Power steering pump push it back for bolts access.
R Heater hose tubes. (pop out)
R Loose Aux support (Gen, Power steering) aluminum frame and push it back

Just about now you can get to that one bolt under the Power steering/Alt support frame.

R Water pump

Reverse to replace.

Not really bad but.. most cars are a little easier.

Hehe...that sounds so familiar. 'Cept mountain dew instead of Beer...I'm underage...and I think beer is kinda nasty.

I'm so happy that my series I mounts to the lower subframe instead of the inner fender brace in the engine bay

Beer is perfect for soothing the mind and soul during a tedious, time-consuming project such as, say, a HEATER CORE! Job well done, bassasasom, you saved another $166+++ in labor charges!
