Question manual ac to digital ac

hi., i have a 2001 ford taurus with manual ac controls and cd player., i was wondering if it can be replaced with one with digital ac controls. thank you

I think I recall some people doing it with older Tauruses, but on the 96+, if you put in the electronic climate controls - you will loose the cd player and get a tape player.

But the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) radio control unit has CD changer controls.

However, there is much more to adding EATC to your manual A/C system than just the EATC control. The blower motor control needs to be replaced with the PWM blower speed control, the actuators need to be changed out, and I'm not sure if that involves changing any of the housings.

It would probably be more of a headache than it's worth to most people.
