Vacuum Lines / Hoses?
Hi,
While doing some other work on the LeSabre lately I've noticed that there are several hoses...which I think may be vacuum hoses that are in pretty bad shape. This is a 1995. Two "U" shaped hoses in particular are right on top of the engine and are nearly crumbling. When I try to replace them with vacuum line I need to make a much larger loop to avoid the line crimping. Autozone says they don't have these "U" shaped pieces. Please see the picture at the link below and let me know 1) are these vacuum lines? and 2) where can I get replacements? Thanks in advance. http://naturalhazarddisclosure.com/images/lesabre2.JPG P.S. Thanks to taser84 for the engine picture |

Re: Vacuum Lines / Hoses?
Yes, those are vacuum hoses. If you really want to get oem replacements you'll probably have to go to the dealer for them. It's most likely going to be cheaper you replace them with vacuum hose.

Re: Vacuum Lines / Hoses?
Have you checked anywhere else besides autozone?

Re: Vacuum Lines / Hoses?
Thanks for the replies.
I haven't checked anywhere other than autozone. I'll probably check pep boys and oreilly's just to be sure and perhaps call the dealer to see just how much they want for those tiny tubes. If it is too much I'll just put on a bigger loop of regular vacuum tube to avoid crimping. Thanks again. |
