Security System
I have a 93 Grand Cherokee which is having security system problems. How can I disconnect the system so that it does not affect the operation of the Jeep? Thanks

Re: Security System
If you disconnect the module ,the jeep will start and die because the pcm "learns" that it has theft alarm and cuts off fuel if it doesn't see the right signal from the theft module. So in other words you have to unplug the module and replace the pcm

Re: Security System
The problem I am having is that when I lock the Jeep, then re-enter the Jeep, she will not start due to security shut down. It is like there is a short in the door loch mechanism to the security system. I have tried all the lock-unlock methods and sometimes that works sometimes it does not. The last time this occured was this past Sunday and nothing would disarm the system so I called for someone to come get me. After sitting and waiting about 30 minutes, all of a sudden the system disarmed and she started right up. I have not locked the Jeep since and have had no problems starting. It is just hard to remember not to lock it when I get out.
