96 Grand - No power to Fuel Pump

Hi.. Long time reader first time post..

I've got a problem that happened yesterday. I've got a 96 Grand Cherokee.
Problem, is there is NO POWER going to Pump..

Had the mechanic do the following.

Changed Fuse Relay for Fuel Pump.
Checked the Pump by jumping the circuit,
Check the harness near the differential where the Gas Filter is.
Reset the computer by disconnectiing the battery, In case of factory kill switch problem.. Not sure if that makes a diffrence..

What the mechanic notices is that if he jumps the pump the car starts.
He thinks the problem lies between the ignition and fuel relay under the hood , any ideas ?

Can anyone suggest other remedies besides what's mentioned above..

Thanks..

Re: 96 Grand - No power to Fuel Pump

Well it seems the problem was solved..

Seems the Jeep security feature " KILL SWITCH " was preventing car from starting..

Had to remove the dash to have it reset..

Shame the dealer can't just disable this function to prevent further headaches..

Interesting, I think I can the same problem as you. But my GC starts up then dies. I thought it might have been the fuel pump as well, but im leaning towards the security feature.
