brakes

on my 1991 sunbird le 2.0l my back right brake would lock up and slide and pull down on the shock. whe i back up out of my driveway and hit the brakes it rises in the air and i hear a squeeking noise when it would do this. ive taken the brake drum off to look at in and seen thath the brake shoe is chipped and when i took it to my mechanic he said the cavy. and sunbirds had this commpon problem when the prake would catch in a certain spont and do stuff with the shock. i was wondering is their anyway to fix this problem?

Re: brakes

when this problem started happening i took of tire and the brake was not chipped. when this did start happening we took it to mechanic and he said the piston was locked up so i was basically riding the brake.
