Trouble Code P0758

Has anybody run into this code? I know it is for the 2-3 shift solenoid, has replacing the solenoid solved your problems? I have a 2000 Montana, which sometimes shifts hard from 2-3, and even sometimes in other gears.

Re: Trouble Code P0758

Shift solenoids on these year GM tans were problematic. Should scan it and see if the solenoid is getting a signal from the pcm and check for slippage errors and other codes, a trans capable scanner is required here, most likely the solenoid packs and harness should all be replaced at one time and be done with it.

Re: Trouble Code P0758

Has anybody replaced a 2-3 shift solenoid in a 2000 or similar Pontiac Montana, Chevy Venture, or Olds Silhoute?

Re: Trouble Code P0758

It is in the valve body inside the trans side cover, axle has to come out, subframe dropped to gain access to remove cover, difficult home "dyer" type repair.
